Ode to a Fine Pen

I love kinetics,

of pen to paper,

and transmutated,

metamorphical,

magical letters.

I love what happens as I start writing. The pen moves across the page, and if I believe in magic,  something magical happens. It turns into something besides the experience, turns me inside out, changes me.

  1. Agree,
That’s exactly what writers do, once u started writing, the words flow like water…

    • Thank you for your comment! I’m so glad you are feeling better. Never apologize for having a blue day, we all have them occasionally! You also have a nice evening! I’m going to see the wolfman with my best friend…Scarey! What else is there to do on a freezing cold night…brrr!

  3. I miss writing my thoughts using my pen…
That’s the dark side of blogging world!

    • Thanks for your comment. I always need to start out in pen first, then transfer onto computer screen later for improvements.

  4. What a perfect expression of creative writing – yes, that’s just it, isn’t it? And the hard part, for me at least, is starting!

    • Thanks for your comments. Yes, it’s always that blank screen that gets me. So if I start with pen and paper when an idea strikes, it’s a starting point to be taken to screen later.

  5. The funny thing is that even though a wordprocessor can be so much easier, all my poems start in pen…there is definitely something comforting about the solidarity of a permanent mark. Good job capturing that link 😉

  8. I too feel the same way when i start typing on the keyboard- something changes within and the words start to spill out.

    • Thanks for sharing your thoughts on writing. Yes, it’s almost like someone is feeding you the words. I wonder where they come from sometimes.
